摘要

In this study, the differential equations of a wire cable isolator are established separately under basic excitation and harmonic force. The corresponding frequency response equations are then derived, and their numerical solutions are obtained by using MATLAB. The frequency-amplitude relations of mass, damping, nonlinear stillness coefficient and linear stiffness to the wire cable isolator exhibit similar and consistent monotonicity. The hysteretic force has not shown regularity. The amplitude curve independently increases or decreases as frequency changes, thus indicating softening or hardening of nonlinear characteristics. The numerical simulation results provide a satisfactory estimate under harmonic force and basic excitation of the isolation system within a relative domain. The aforementioned curves represent obvious and irregular fluctuation responses respectively, of the mechanical model. Thus, a conclusion can be drawn that the two DOF wire cable isolator exhibits nonlinearity.
