An Segmentation Algorithm of Texture Image Based on DWT

In allusion to the object segmentation under the backgrounds of texture, by using all the wavelet channels' texture energy values that produced by discrete two dimensional wavelet decomposition as the description feature, a feature images segmentation algorithm is presented. Furthermore, this algorithm is advanced to be applied to texture image segmentation and object segmentation in multi-texture backgrounds. The experimental results show that it is a very effective algorithm for image segmentation.
