摘要

Theoretically and experimentally present the resonance of Bragg grating written in microstructure fiber which consists of a ring of six large air-holes surrounding a Germanium doped core. By using a full-vector finite element method, the characteristics of the fundamental core mode and the higher order cladding modes confined by air-holes are studied. We find that the mode coupling from the fundamental mode to some cladding modes is very strong. Then the Bragg grating is fabricated in this fiber by use of UV-writing technology and many resonant peaks are observed in the transmission spectra of the grating. The wavelengths of resonant peaks well accord with the simulation results.
