摘要

An efficient and selective procedure for oxidation of alcohols to the corresponding aldehydes and ketones using manganese dioxide supported on graphite at around 50 degrees C under solvent-free conditions and grind in the yields between 80 and 92% is described. This method offers several advantages, such as short reaction times, high yields of the products, and a non-toxic and inexpensive reagent, which make the oxidation process convenient, economic, and environmentally benign.
