摘要

Polymerase Chain Reaction - Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) was used to characterize two mitochondrial genes, namely, CO I and ND 5 in S. ruficornis, S. argyrostoma and S. dux. The amplified products were,of 978 bp and 470 bp for CO I and ND 5 genes, respectively. The two amplicons were digested with ten restriction endonucleases, of which only three generated restriction fragments. Restriction pattern of ND 5/Dra I was identical in all the three species. The restriction patterns generated by CO I/EcoR V and ND 5/Ssp I were species specific.
