The molecule of the title compound, C(7)H(8)N(2)O, is essentially planar with a maximum deviation of 0.0439 (1) angstrom from the best plane. In the crystal, N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds between self-complementary amide groups join molecules into centro-symmetric dimers.
