摘要

An extended theoretical particle-to-wall collision model for the rigid particles of general shape is presented. It is based on an improved definition of the restitution coefficient, which is consistent with the previous definition of the restitution coefficient for spherical particles, but modified to meet the conditions of arbitrary non-spherical shapes. Moreover, it follows the fundamental conservation laws of momenta, as well as the Coulomb's law of friction. In addition, this model is validated by comparing the simulation results to experimental measurements of the collision between rectangular particles and walls, which shows the correctness of the model. Finally, the applications of present model for multiple-impacts and the walls with roughness are demonstrated, which shows its potential feasibility for complex granular system simulations.
