摘要
Ozone the important but minor species of the normal air plays a very important role in atmospheric chemistry by protecting living organisms from the harmful effects of solar ultraviolet radiation. Ozone is an oxidizing agent and have used in different industrial processes. Moreover it has impacts on the earth- atmosphere energy budget and climate change. All these issues came forward after the detection of ozone by Schonbein in the year 1839. This review focuses on the studies of Ultraviolet and ozone research over the globe starting from 16th Century.
