4,6-Dimethoxy-2-(methylsulfanyl)-5-phenylpyrimidine

摘要

In the asymmetric unit of the title structure, C13H14N2O2S, there are two independent molecules. All bond lengths and angles show normal values. The dihedral angles between the phenyl and pyrimidine rings in each molecule are 58.66 (9) and 57.88 (8)degrees, but these rings are rotated in opposite directions with respect to the S-C bond of the methylsulfanyl substituent. In the absence of hydrogen bonds, the crystal structure is stabilized by van der Waals forces and one weak C-H center dot center dot center dot pi(arene) interaction, with H center dot center dot center dot Cg = 2.91 angstrom (Cg is the centroid of the pyrimidine ring).
