摘要
Thermal infrared detectors, like thin-film bolometers, thermopiles and pyroelectric detectors, are usually provided with an additional absorption layer in order to get a maximum sensor performance. This article gives an overview about existing and commercially used absorption layers as well as some new-developed absorber structures that have been possible due to recent advances in nanotechnology and plasmonic research.
