摘要
In this paper the numerical simulation of Multi Point Forming (MPF) process is developed by using ABAQUS finite element software. MPF system consists of digitized die and control unit. The digitized die is composed of a pair of matrices of punches, and sheet metal is formed by the enveloping surface punch matrices. In the study, the digitized die is designed for the front panel of the rail bus. The model of the control system of the process is the developed under MATLAB and the position adjusting system is designed so that the heights of the punches can be controlled. The results of the numerical analysis demonstrate that this new method is very suitable for the forming of the sheet metals and have a lot of advantages.
