摘要

In two-level three-phase voltage source inverter, both dead-time and minimum pulse-width limitation (MPWL) narrow down the practical voltage space, which results in the invalidation of the conventional space vector pulse-width modulation (PWM) and related over-modulation methods. A novel integrated PWM (IPWM) strategy is proposed with dead-time and MPWL considered. First, the strategy combines the classical seven-segment SVPWM with five-segment DPWM1, three-segment PWM and one-segment PWM, redefines the linear-modulation region and the over-modulation region and increases the practical voltage space. Second, the strategy decreases the calculation time and reduces total harmonic distortion (THD) with the optimum over-modulation method, while it improves the output voltage linearity by the reference voltage linearization. Additionally, the strategy presents the inserting method of the new dead-time based on finite state machine. Finally, confirmatory experimental results on induction motor valid the IPWM strategy and illustrates its excellent performance.
