A one-dimensional coordination polymer [Cu(en)(2)](2)[Cu(en)(2)(H2O)](2) {[Cu(en)(2)](2)[Cu2Si2W22O78]}center dot 4.5H(2)O (en=ethylenediamine), which represents the first example of one-dimensional organic-inorganic hybrid based on the bimolecular Keggin polyoxometalates {[Cu(en)(2)](2)[Cu2Si2W22O78]}(-8) has been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, TG and single crystal X-ray diffraction.
