This paper analyses the design and implementation of Listening Course of New College English(Book 3) within the second year non-English major students in Yunnan Agricultural University, China. This includes the course’s planning and delivery with attention upon its learning theories and frameworks. Furthermore, it focuses on how it impacts upon the teaching and learning process. This includes the identification and appropriateness of its learning outcomes, learning activities, its assessment criteria and evaluation. This paper specifically reflects on the course’s concept of constructive alignment.
