摘要

Rheological properties of high abrasion furnace black (HAF, grade N330) extended powdered styrene butadiene rubber (SBR)-(P(SBR/HAF)) and HAF extended bale SBR (SBR/HAF) with carbon black content (0-70 phr) and aromatic oil content (0-50 phr) at different rotor speeds (40-80 rpm) and mixing temperatures (50-100 degreesC) were studied. The studies were carried out with a Brabender torque rheometer with a mixing-head attached. It was observed that in the above experiment range the apparent shear viscosity (eta(alpha)) and the unit mixing energy (Wu) of P(SBR/HAF) was not so sensitive to carbon black content and mixing temperature as that of SBR/HAF, while the temperature buildup DeltaT showed little dependency on carbon black content. Compared to SBR/HAF, P(SBR/HAF) showed a 20-30% mixing energy reduction with high carbon black content (>30 phr), which gives powdered SBR good prospects for internal mixing. The explanation for the character of the rheological properties of P(SBR/HAF) are detailed in the paper.
