摘要

The ternary-monomer graft copolymers of polyethylene (PETM) was synthesized by the monomer self-dissolved in-situ solid phase graft copolymerization. The Coats-Redfern method and Doyle-Ozawa method were used to study the thermal decomposition kinetics. Results show that the reaction progression of thermal decomposition is between 0 and 1 due to the effect of the grafted side chains. The activation energy of thermal decomposition of PETM is higher than that of PE, indicating that the thermal stability of PETM is better than that of PE. The thermal stability of PETM tends to increase with the proportional increase of St among the monomers due to the contribution of St to the stabilization of radicals and therefore to the decrease of decomposition rate of PE.
