Based on finite volume method and Realizable κ-Ε turbulence model, the flow inside a multi-nozzle jet pump is investigated numerically by Fluent. The reliability of calculations is examined and certified by comparison with the experimental data. According to the flow field of the multi-nozzle jet pump, the multi-nozzle primary jet can speed up the mixture of the driving jet and suction flow. This implies that the length of the throat pipe should be shorter than that of the jet pump with a traditional single nozzle. Calculation results are reported on the jet pump with a view to assessing the optimum ratio between the length and the diameter of the throat which is 5.5 or 6. In addition, the influence of configuration of multi-nozzles on the interaction of jets, flow field and performance of the multi-nozzle jet pump are simulated.
