摘要

This paper presents a deterministic waveguide propagation model for a transmitting antenna placed on building rooftops and measurements carried out in two Brazilian cities. The sites used for model validation are urban locations of the cities of Feira de Santana, BA and Sao Paulo, SP, from where three-dimensional (3D) building blocks are extracted using Google Earth's database. All the equipment and software used in data acquisition and post-processing are described. Finally, comparisons between the measured signal envelope values and model calculations are presented in order to validate the proposed model. Results show that the developed model could be a useful tool for signal prediction with regard to street waveguides formed by buildings with antennas placed on their rooftops.
