摘要

A theoretical study has been done to analyze the heat and mass transfer in an air-to-air total heat exchanger core made of a water vapor permeable membrane that transfers both heat and moisture. Calculations are conducted to investigate the exchanger performance over a wide range of weather condition. The results show that the heat and moisture may transfer in either the same direction or the opposite directions across membrane, they may also locally co-transfer but locally transfer in reverse, with the latent effectiveness showing a hyperbola-type change with the outdoor air humidity.
