Competition possesses an important role in ecology. Population diffusion is a common phenomenon. In this paper, we systematically study the dynamics of a competitive system with linear diffusion. The explorations involve the existence and global asymptotic stability. Based upon M-matrix theory and graph theory, we obtain conditions for equilibriums existence and global-stability. These results extend some recent known ones for diffusion system.
