Synthesis of 3-cyano-4-imino-2-methylthio-7-phenyl-4H-pyrimido[2,3-d]-1,3,4-thiadiazole and its 2-substituted derivatives are reported. The newly synthesized compounds were evaluated for their antimicrobial activity (Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, and Salmonella typhi) and antioxidant activity (2,2-diphenylpicrylhydrazyl and OH model).
