摘要

This article presents a compact, high-efficiency, spatially power-combining system based on WR-140 waveguide power dividers/ combiners and microstrip probe transitions. Using four GaAs MMIC driver amplifiers and four MFET power amplifiers, the combining circuit produced up to 45-W maximum power output with a gain variation of +/- 1 dB within the band of 13.8-14.8 GHz. The passive combining efficiency within the operating bond was measured over 87%, and PAE was up) to 22%. An effective design and hitting method was adopted, and so a high combining efficiency, was achieved. The results suggest the efficacy of the design and a strong potential for higher powers by connecting waveguide power dividers/combiners to these combining modules.
