摘要

The adsorption property of a new amphoteric graft copolymer of carboxymethyl cellulose with acrylamide and dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate (CGAD) on bentonite particles was studied by the method of CdI2-starch coloring. The amount of adsorption increased with the increase of time of CGAD concentration, but decreased with the increasing concentration of added NaCl or added hexadecyltrimethylammonium chloride (HDDTMAC). The amount of adsorption was also found to be dependent on temperature, i.e. decreasing with the increasing temperature. The adsorption heat Delta H was calculated by the relationship of temperature with the amount of adsorption. The X-ray diffraction showed that interlayer adsorption occurred in the bentonite.
