摘要
This research develops a comprehensive assessment system of construction industry using factor analysis method. The basic principles and approach of the system are introduced on the basis of the statistical data in Shanghai city from year 1999 to 2004. The study results indicate that the assessment system is reasonable and feasible. The assessment system could effectively avoid the influences on the evaluation results caused by obvious correlation between initial indicators and the subjectivity of the weights which are familiar in some other assessment methods.
