摘要

We present a new technique to measure the thermal conductance of an interface between two layers which are electrically isolated. This method was used to measure the thermal conductance between the superconducting layer and the Hastelloy substrate in coated conductors. A line is heated by an AC current superposed to a DC current. The temperature oscillation of this line, as a function of the power frequency, was simulated with a simple thermal model consisting of a heater, a substrate and a thermal bath, all coupled by thermal conductance. This model predicts that the amplitude of the temperature oscillation, in a certain frequency range, is strongly influenced by the thermal conductance of the interface. The measurements performed on a coated conductor are in good agreement with the prediction of the model. We found a value of 320 W cm(-2) K-1 for the thermal conductance per unit area at room temperature. This value is confirmed by a DC technique where the thermal conductance is deduced from measurements of the electrical resistance change in three parallel strip lines. One of the lines is heated by a DC current and the other is used as a thermometer to measure the temperature of the substrate at different locations.
