摘要
Decomposition of phenol in an aqueous solution under the action of a surface barrier charge in oxygen at atmospheric pressure and the thermal characteristics of the reactor are studied. The phenol decomposition degree reaches 99%, and as high as 80% of the composition of the resulting products are represented by CO2 molecules. It is shown that the nature of the decomposition process is not thermic. It is found that the energy converted into the heat energy that heats the solution rises as the total energy supplied to the reactor increases. In this case, the total-energy fraction that was converted into the heat energy is decreased from 40 to 17%.
