摘要

In this study, we present a theoretical description of the experimental spectra of the optical reflection and transmission in a composite layer (PMMA+Ag) with silver nanoparticles. This layer is considered to have a quasi-zero refractive index with a random value. Therefore, there are inhomogeneous boundaries in the layer, and non-Fresnel modes of reflection and refraction are created in the layer due to the random distribution of the refractive index of the layer near its zero value. The formulae for the reflectivity and transparency of a layer with a quasi-zero refractive index are recovered by considering its unique optical properties.
