摘要
One of the predominant limitations to the practical applications of bulk glass optical current transformers is the harmful influence of the reflection-induced retardance and linear birefringence existing inside the glass current-sensing elements. To solve this problem, a new design of optical magnetic field sensor using a Faraday Mirror for current measurement, is proposed, the optical setup is shown, the working principle is derived, the experimental result is given, and the advantages and shortcomings of the design are discussed in this paper.
