摘要

Herein we report a very simple and an efficient protocol for the synthesis of palladium-nickel bimetallic nanoparticles. Palladium chloride (PdCl2) has been used as precursor for synthesis of Palladium Nanoparticles (Pd Nps). Salting out agent lithium chloride (LiCl) enhanced the reduction rate of Pd (II) and Ni (II) to the corresponding Pd and Ni nanoparticles transformation up to a considerable extent. The methodology adopted resulted nanosized palladium-nickel bimetallic particles in just a few seconds. The as-prepared bimetallic nanoparticles were characterized with Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (TEM-EDX), X-Ray Powder Diffraction (XRD), Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) and Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (ICP AES) analysis. The catalyst with only 0.3 mol% Pd showed its efficiency in Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reaction with excellent yield of the desired biaryl products.
