摘要
Two-phase CoFe(2)O(4) and BaTiO(3) (BTO) nanocomposites were fabricated by a solid-state reaction. Following a similar process in a reducing environment, we have prepared Ni-BTO, a hybrid metal-ceramic nanocomposite with a nanorod grain morphology. We discuss the growth mechanism and demonstrate that our metal-ceramic nanorods are magnetic. Ni foil can reach saturation magnetization at magnetic fields of 700 G, whereas the Ni-BTO nanorods need 3000 G. In the future, this method may offer a convenient and inexpensive way to fabricate new types of multiferroic materials.
