摘要

BACKGROUND: Some human metabolic enzymes, including AMPK, Acetyl-CoA carboxylase, E1 ubiquitin activating enzyme, glycogen synthase and glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH), are key indexes of metabolic disorders caused by type II diabetes. These enzymes are important for insulin regulation and stability maintenance of the human body.
METHODS: We analyzed the effects of (2R)-3',4"-epoxy-2-hydroxy-1-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-7-(3-methoxyphenyl) heptan-3-one (compound 1), myricanol (compound 2), myricetin (compound 3) and myricitrin (compound 4) extracted from Myrica rubra leaves on type II diabetes.
RESULTS: We discovered that 2R)-3',4"-epoxy-2-hydroxy-1-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-7-(3-methoxyphenyl) heptan-3-one (compound 1) was the best compound to relieve metabolic disorders caused by type II diabetes.
CONCLUSIONS: We concluded that the four compounds promoted glycogen synthesis and improved the overall effectiveness of carbohydrate metabolism.
