摘要

Iterative dynamic programming is used to establish the optimal control of a L-lysine fermentation process carried out in a fedbatch reactor. The batch time and feeding policy are determined in maximizing the production rate of L-lysine. The cleanup time between batches is taken into consideration, and the optimal control problem is solved for three values of the cleanup time. It is found that the use of continuation is most helpful in obtaining accurate results.
