摘要

The features of sleep mechanism and sleep electroencephalogram (EEG) signals are closely related to each other. The purpose of this paper is to represent sleep EEG event at different scale using wavelet transformation. In this study, a total of twelve healthy adults were enrolled, and each of them easily fell and remained asleep without the help of drugs. Whole-night time sleep EEG was recorded in the EEG room of the Tianjin Union Medicine Centre. The results suggested that the alpha wave enhanced in scale 8-10, vertex sharp wave enhanced in scale 9-12, sleep spindle enhanced in scale 12-14, and K-complex enhanced in scale 7-13, K-complex has two obvious features that located in scale 7-9 and 12-13. The reconstructed single-scale signals displayed exactly the sleep event's subcomponents and underlying microstructure. These results quantified sleep EEG events to some extent. In addition, these results can provide objective outcome measures for understanding and identifying sleep EEG events.
