摘要

The dynamic response of asphalt pavement subjected to the moving wheel loads is one of the primary aspects for understanding the structure behavior of pavement. A three-dimensional finite element model in transient dynamic mode is developed to obtain the dynamic response of three directional strains due to the moving load, based on site conditions of strain measurements. The pavement dynamic theory, moving load, boundary condition and structural parameters for the FEM analysis are briefly introduced. The time histories and distributions of three directional strains under the different loading conditions are analyzed to identity their effects on the dynamic response. The results show that the dynamic response of strains in pavement structure subjected to moving load exhibits wave characteristics, and alternation between positive and negative strains occurs during the passage of the loading. In addition, it should be noted that the moving speeds, transverse loading points, loading magnitudes and traveling states are found to be significant and should be paid more attention in the in situ measurement of three directional strains.
