摘要

The vibration and noise mechanism of marine rubber stern tube bearings (RSTB) was studied under the conditions of heavy load and low speed in this paper. The causes of vibration & noise were discussed. Meanwhile, the vibration simulation was carried out with the application of multi-body dynamics software ADAMS. The generating process of vibration was simulated and the relationship between vibration and noise was analyzed. The results indicated that the vibration and the noise of marine rubber stern tube bearings were uniform. At a limited range, if the rotational speed was lower and the load was heavier, the vibration was more obvious and the noise was more intensive. Combining the simulation analysis and the test results, it was known that vibration and the noise were closely related with load and rotational speed.
