摘要
The Audiolingual Method, basing on American Structural Linguistics and behaviorism, lasted from 1959-1966 in America. The paper presents its origination, theoretical foundations, design and assessment. Only after understanding the Audiolingual Method comprehensively, teachers can adopt it appropriately in the foreign language teaching in China.
