摘要

This study evaluates a brief version of the school relationship questionnaire and determines its psychometric properties. The concept of school relationship is important to student outcomes, including academic performance, risk behaviors, and mental health. Typically, measures of school life have tended to be multidimensional, covering various areas of student life on campus. In this study, we focus on a relationship component as an essential aspect of school climate concept. Exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and reliability analysis were conducted based on samples from two countries (United States and China). Results indicate that the data fit a three-factor model (Relationship with school, Relationship with teachers, and Relationship with peers) with good factor structure and internal consistency. These results were replicated across countries.
