摘要

Increasing requests for molecular genetic analysis in recent years has led to the development and application of robot-assisted laboratory systems in forensic casework. Currently, many institutes have already successfully implemented pipet robots in DNA casework. The aim of this study was to point out the advantages and possible drawbacks of automation in DNA laboratories using the example of DNA quantification involving Plexor (R) HY technology, the QIAgility (TM) pipet robot, the Rotor-Gene (R) Q-cycler and a Filemaker-based database named IRM-X.
