A New Implicit Finite Difference Algorithm of Thermal Melt Flow in Filling Process Based on Projection Method

摘要

In the SOLA-VOF method of Casting Simulation, an explicit difference method is used for calculating 3D incompressible viscous equations in filling simulation. Because the time step is limited, the computational efficiency is lower. In this paper, the approximate factorization scheme of second-order difference has been developed for solving 3D incompressible viscous equations. In the near-wall region, thermal melt flow has characteristics of non-Newtonian flow and low-Reynolds number exists, the incompressible viscous model of low-Reynolds number is introduced, the projection method is employed to calculate the velocity fields and the pressure. It is proved that the new implicit finite difference algorithm is correct through nonparametric statistics method and experiments. This new algorithm is more quickly that the explicit SOLA-VOF method.
