摘要

The wake field of a ship model was measured using a stereo towed under water stereo particle image velocimetry (SPIV) system to identify the flow characteristics around a hull with a high block coefficient and U type stern.The time-averaged velocity,vector maps,streamline topology,vorticity contours,and other turbulent quantities were obtained.The”hook-shaped”velocity contour,bilge vortex,hub cap vortex,U type characteristics of turbulent kinetic energy and Reynolds stress distribution,vorticity and vortex structure distribution were present in the measurement results.The characteristics of ship wake field in this paper were consistent with the wake characteristics of KVLCC and KVLCC2 with a high block coefficient and U type stern.Finally,the CFD method was used to analyze the evolution process of double vortex structure generation and transmission,and verified the source of bilge vortex and hub cap vortex of propeller plane.Combined with the characteristics of CFD and EFD results,the characteristics of wake flow were summarized.The SPIV measurement results clearly demonstrate the nominal wake characteristics of large ship with U type stern.
