A B-10 NMR study of trigonal and tetrahedral borons in ring structured borate glasses and crystals

摘要

We used B-10 NMR and our previously developed Spectrafit automatic fitting program to determine the best values of the quadrupole parameters of both trigonal and tetrahedral borons in intermediate range structures. Each boron site was characterised by the quadrupole coupling constant, C-Q the asymmetry parameter, eta, and their respective standard deviations, sigma(CQ) and sigma(eta), assumed Gaussian. The results lead us to believe that eta is especially sensitive to the length scale of the intermediate range order.
