摘要

Human lung sound (respiratory sound) has the diagnostic capability which helps the physician to diagnose the pulmonary disease and some other disorders of their patient. Moreover lung sound monitoring can be useful in critical care conditions and in some disorders like sleep apnoea. Auscultation of pulmonary sounds with a stethoscope is a common, simple, inexpensive and noninvasive method in the diagnosis of respiratory disorders but has many limitations. In this paper, a Bluetooth based wireless system for acquisition and monitoring of breath sound using 'Phonopulmonography' is developed. The system is tested by acquiring and recording the lung sound signals (respiratory sound signals). These signals were analyzed with the help of Power Spectral Density and Fast Fourier Transform to find out its utility. From the results it has been concluded that the developed system can be used for acquisition, recording and monitoring of the respiratory sound signals.
