摘要

The asymmetry of transmission line parameters caused by the line un-transposition makes the secondary arc current to be obvious phase characteristics, and becomes an important factor affecting the success rate of the single-phase automatic reclosure. To solve this problem, we established a model of a high voltage (HV) transmission line with two sources, by which the secondary arc current was calculated by the EMTDC software for both single circuit and double circuit transmission lines. By the calculation, the effects of phase sequences, fault phase and power flow on secondary arc current were discussed, respectively. The results show that the asymmetry of the electrical parameters is the primary reason for the phase characteristics of secondary arc current, and the quantities of sub-conductors, fault position and the power flow significantly affect the secondary arc current. To limit the secondary arc current to a relatively low level, it is suggested to adopt the same phase sequence without transposition for double circuit lines.
