摘要

Experiments were conducted between April and June 2000, in the Municipality of Scropedica, Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil. The objective was to evaluate agronomic yield of lettuce and carrot organic manured in a randomized block design with five replications. Treatments were composed by increasing levels of organic compost (0; 12; 24 and 48 t ha(-1)). It was evaluated yield, height, dry mass, diameter, length, dry mass content of carrot roots and yield, dry mass, diameter, dry mass content of lettuce. The harvesting process was done with 37 and 104 days after planting (dap) for the first experiment and with 53 and 96 dap for the second one, for lettuce and carrot respectively. Results obtained with lettuce showed that diameter and dry mass content were responsive to the levels of organic compost, while for carrot, yield was the agronomic index most responsive to organic compost application. Increased levels of organic compost reduced dry mass content in roots of car-rot and lettuce leaves. The levels of organic compost used did not show saturation according doses.
