摘要

This small scale study is an attempt to evaluate the English writing text at the preparatory year. It stresses to identify the strengths and weaknesses of different aspects of the existing textbook, likecontent, presentation, organization and exercises. It also focuses to find out whether the textbook able to fulfill the aims and objectives of teaching English writing skill and the learners* needs.Finally, some suggestions have been made for selecting a suitable textbook.
