Algebraic area enclosed by random walks on a lattice

We compute the moments < A(2k)> of the area enclosed by an N-steps random walk on a 2D lattice. We consider separately the cases where the walk comes back to the origin or not. We also compute, for both cases, the characteristic function < e(iBA)> at order 1/N-2.
