The C*-valued norm is defined on a Hilbert C*-module by its standard inner product. In this short note, we will prove that vertical bar x y vertical bar <= vertical bar x vertical bar vertical bar y vertical bar holds for all x, y is an element of E which is a Hilbert A-module if and only if J = <( E,E) over bar >, the closed two-sided ideal in A, is a commutative C*-algebra.
