摘要

Effects of adding rare-earth Y in Mg-6Al alloy on its microstructure and high-temperature mechanical properties were investigated. The results show that addition of Y in Mg-6Al alloy dramatically enhances yield strength and tensile strength at 20°C-200°C for the alloy under aged state. Adding 0.6wt%-2.4wt% Y, the microstructure of the aged Mg-Al alloy is remarkably refined, and dot-like Al2Y phase with high melting-point forms in the alloy. The optimal microstructure and mechanical properties of the Mg-6Al alloy with 1.2wt% Y are obtained in this study.
