Magnetic states in La1.85-2xSr0.15+2xCu1-xMnxO4 (0 <= x <= 0.5)

摘要

The magnetic state in the La1.85-2xSr0.15+2xCu1-xMnxO4 (0less than or equal toxless than or equal to0.5) system has been studied. The diamagnetism persists at 37 K in xless than or equal to0.06 samples. It is found that a slight doping of Mn ions induces a spin-compensated state on some length scale and decreases the Meissner volume. The spin-compensated state overwhelms the superconductivity at the doping level 0.1less than or equal toxless than or equal to0.32. When x>0.32, the paramagnetism observed is compatible with double-exchange interactions.
