摘要

The synthesis and the structure of a luminescent octanuclear 2-pyridylethynyl cluster [Pt2Cu6(bzq)(2)(C C-C5H4N-2)(6)I-2] (1) is reported. An X-ray diffraction study of I reveals an unusual Pt2Cu6 species formed by a central dicationic hexanuclear copper(I) core [Cu-6(C C-C5H4N-2)(2)I-2](2+) assembled by two monoanionic benzoquinolinate dialkynylplatinate(II) [Pt(bzq)(C C-C5H4N-2)(2)](-) fragments. Solid-state and solution photoluminescence properties at 298 K and at 77 K are discussed in the context of the structure.
